Privacy Policy
Liar's Dice is a free browser game published under the PureTable family of games. It has no accounts, no ads and no third-party tracking. This page explains, in plain words, what is stored where.
1. Who is responsible
The game is operated by PureTable. Questions about this policy: [email protected].
2. What stays on your device
The game stores a few small items in your browser's local storage so it can remember you. They never leave your device unless stated in section 3.
- Your in-progress solo game and your solo game saved while you play a friend match (so a refresh does not lose it).
- Local statistics and recent match history (games played, wins, best streak).
- Your nickname, sound on/off preference, language choice and a flag that the quick tutorial was shown.
You can erase all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. If your browser blocks local storage (for example in a private window), the game still works, but progress is only kept until you close the tab.
3. What the game server sees
Solo games run entirely in your browser and send nothing to a server. A connection to the game server (ws.dice.puretablegames.com) is opened only when you start a friend room or open a friend's invite link. In that case:
- The nickname you type and your moves are sent to the server so that the room can work. They are held in the memory of the running game and discarded when the room closes. We do not write them to a database.
- For friends watching a solo game, the server relays the game seed and the host's moves between the browsers without interpreting or storing them.
- Like any web server, the hosting infrastructure processes your IP address to deliver the page and to protect the service from abuse (rate limiting and temporary blocks). Cloudflare, which serves the website, keeps basic request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, time) for security and operations.
- The server keeps anonymous counters of events such as "room created" or "game finished", with small numbers like table size. They contain no nickname, no IP address and no device identifier.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
The game itself does not set cookies, does not use Google Analytics or any advertising tracker, and shows no advertising. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may measure aggregate, cookieless traffic statistics such as page views and countries. Nothing you do on the site is sold or shared for advertising.
5. Children
The game is a general-audience dice game and does not ask for personal information. Please do not type your real full name, address or contact details into the nickname field or share them with other players.
6. Your choices and rights
Because the game does not keep a profile about you, there is normally nothing to export or delete beyond what is in your own browser. If you believe the operator holds personal data about you (for example from a support email), write to [email protected] and we will respond and delete it on request.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
